And now, for a bit of Museum history--not the Jefferson County Museum--the Ellifritz Museum! Located in Rippon and founded by local rock collector Earl Ellifritz, the Museum showcased rare geological specimens he collected as well as artworks created from his rocks and other curiosities. We recently acquired a number of photos showcasing the Museum from the 1980s to 2000s. Do you remember visiting this Museum? A partnership with the Jefferson County Historical Society WV, this morning of lectures will feature a variety of topics in local history, from the "Bard of Harpers Ferry," to the Battle of Summit Point (or is it Cameron's Depot?), to the Fayetteville Rifle's connection to Jefferson County.
