Thank you to the Page Jackson Alumni Association for one of the most recent additions to the collection: images from high school activities and alumni association events! These two digital image collections contain photographs, yearbook pages, and newspaper clippings of Page Jackson High School before it closed in 1965 (when Jefferson County schools finally desegregated after the Brown vs. The Board of Education decision in 1954) and of the school's alumni events in later years. There are many wonderful photos of the school's founders, classrooms, school dances, sports teams, and other extracurricular activities in addition to alumni gatherings. ![]()
Recognize anyone? Take a look through these collections in our online catalog and let us know! We would love to be able to better identify people in these images.![]()
